Description
APPEARANCE
Tarn granite (Saint Salvy) is a grey-blueyish granite which grain can be fine, medium or coarse.
The Tarn Silverstar is coming from the largest quarry (20,000m3 / year); it is a coarse grain but very consistent and no black spots. It has a very low porosity which allows it an excellent aging and a heavy dirt resistance.
It does not rust (no pyrite) and its hardness allows good conservation of polishing.
Quarry is producing a a large amount of first choice blocks and due to the material soundness, could give large blocks ( 1 container = 1 block ) and large slabs ( 280-320CM x140-160CM ) .

TECHNICAL DATA
Uses
Silverstar is your granit for large projects .
Like many granite, Slverstar is used in construction (walls, floor, indoor or outdoor); uniformity, lack of black spots and its basic color make a granite choice. The large output of the quarry, the possibility of having big sound blocks make it an ideal material for large projects (airports, malls …).
It is also used in large quantities to the roadworks where its low porosity is a very important advantage (granite is kept clean and ages better).
Finally is also used for funerary tombs
