APPEARANCE

Beaumanière is a trade name used for stones coming from several quarries located on the same plateau. The essential feature of these stones is to present an ocher-rust veining very irregular; we often speak of "Rubane" to describe these veining.  But you can find slight differences in color or grain. Thus do we distinguish several types of Beaumaniere :

• The Beaumaniere Dark : rust veining, grained and dark beige background color. Sometimes with concentrations of shells. This is the least uniform type.
• The Beaumaniere Light : rust veining, fine grain and light beige background color.
• The Beaumaniere Classico : rust veining, medium grain and gray, beige background color. Sometimes with concentrations shells.
• The Beaumaniere Classico Light : rust veining, medium grain and gray, light beige background color. This is the most uniform.

Beaumaniere is cut with/against vein. It is a product which may have a little softer parts that must be eliminated or aged.They are semi-hard limestone.

Usual slab sizes are 200-240 cm x 120-130cm; quarry capacity allows for medium sized projects.

USES

All types of BEAUMANIERE are semi-hard limestones: They can be used as flooring for medium and residential traffic. As semi-hard limestones, they can be easily aged according to different processes (top face more or less aged, pillowed edges, distressed edges...).

With their ribbons, they are particularly decorative: They can be used as vanity tops, kitchen tops (with an appropriate sealer), for fireplaces....

It could be also used for wall cladding.

They are frost resistant and thus could be used outside for wall cladding, residential terraces, pool decks and copings...
